Job summary

Valleys Pest Services Pty Ltd in the Dungog/Gloucester/Stroud area is seeking an experienced or trainee Pest Control Technician to service Dungog, Gloucester and Stroud communities. You’ll identify, treat and prevent pests across residential, commercial, and industrial settings, delivering outstanding client service.

The role offers a permanent part-time contract of 24 hours with the opportunity to work up to full-time hours as workload permits, and includes a company vehicle, PPE, and support

Qualifications

• Licence or willingness to obtain Pest Management Technician qualification/licence (we offer support).
• Current manual Australian driver’s licence with good driving history.
• Eligible to work in Australia.

We're looking for someone to join our small team and help us to continue to deliver quality pest control to the Dungog, Stroud and Gloucester community.

What we are looking for

We're looking for someone to join our small team and help us to continue to deliver quality pest control to the Dungog, Stroud and Gloucester community.

Location

Please note: it would only let us select one location (Dungog), but successful applicant would be required to travel to work in all three locations (Dungog, Gloucester, Stroud and surrounds) according to workload, in the vehicle provided to you.

The successful applicant would need to either

• Reside within our service area (preferred)
• Reside within an absolute maximum of 30 minutes drive / 50 kilometres from our service area
• Rather than taking the vehicle home each day, travel in a personal vehicle on your own time, to our home base in Stroud to collect vehicle for each shift (not preferred, but could work for the right candidate upon negotiation)

What we can offer (part to full time)

We can offer at present, a permanent part time contract of 24 hours (guaranteed) with the opportunity to work up to full-time hours as workload permits (which should be for the majority of the year).

We anticipate that we would be able to offer a full time contract to the successful candidate, within 12-18 months at most. However if wanted, the candidate would be able to work up to full time hours for the majority of the year, as seasonal workload permits.

About you

• Valid Pest Management Technician licence
  OR willing to complete the qualification/licence requirements
  (we offer financial incentives and practical support to complete the units, as well as ongoing on-the-job training)

• Current Manual Australian Driver's Licence (*ESSENTIAL*) and a good driving history
• Eligible to work in Australia (*ESSENTIAL*)
• Ability to quickly build positive rapport with clients
• Excellent communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying conditions (crawl spaces, roofs, etc.)
