Rio Tinto is seeking a Specialist Data Systems in Perth on a permanent part-time, job-share basis to support, maintain and improve key data systems used by the Development team. The role focuses on acQuire, data quality, reliable data flows and practical improvements for timely drilling and resource modelling.

You will partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, implement enhancements and ensure systems remain fit for purpose, with collaboration across the job-share setup.

Formación

• Commitment to safety of yourself and your team.
• Experience in database management and administration (DBA) using SQL Server.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL with complex queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git and GitHub workflows.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and develop practical, sustainable solutions.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management and prioritisation in a job-share setting.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day support, administration and troubleshooting for acQuire and other key data systems.
• Monitor data quality and system performance, identify risks and issues.
• Maintain system configurations, reference data, workflows and access controls.
• Collaborate with users to translate business requirements into system improvements.
• Support testing, implementation and adoption of system enhancements and data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data checks, reports and controls for accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate handovers in the job-share arrangement to ensure continuity.
