Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive defence industry experience (10–15+ years) with understanding of defence procurement, project delivery, contract administration, and defence standards.
• Current Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline or NV1) or eligible and willing to obtain and maintain the clearance.
• Proven business development and stakeholder management with an established WA defence sector network and ability to influence clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of Arup's defence growth strategy in WA, identifying opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
• Direct pursuit, bidding, and delivery of defence projects with commercial excellence and risk-management compliance.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and build defence capability across WA.
• Collaborate with ANZ Defence Leader and regional teams to secure opportunities and deliver projects across Australia.
• Represent Arup in defence market through partnerships, client engagement, and strategic industry outreach.
