The ideal candidate is proactive, quick to pick up new systems and processes, with strong attention to detail and clear communication. Immediate start and full Australian working rights are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or working towards CA/CPA (preferred).
• Proficient with MYOB, Xero, SAP or similar and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset register and process depreciation.
• Prepare GST and BAS workings for review.
• Support accounts payable and receivable as needed.
• Assist with management reporting and basic variance analysis.
• Help prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Respond to finance queries from internal staff and external stakeholders.
