Job summary

Cummins Asia Pacific invites undergraduates to join a 13‑month internship at our Perth Airport office. You’ll work across software, cloud, edge computing and analytics to turn industrial telemetry data into insights for carbon reduction technology.

You will develop in Python/C#/Java, leverage AWS and Terraform, build data pipelines and contribute to automation and testing while collaborating with senior engineers in an agile setting.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related discipline.
• Available for the full 13 months and able to defer studies.
• Interest in data, software and cloud engineering with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software solutions using Python, C#, and Java.
• Work with AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Assist in building data pipelines and analyzing vehicle telemetry.
• Create internal tools, automate tasks and develop data visualisations.
• Write automated tests and contribute to software quality initiatives.
