Job summary

One Playground is seeking an Elevated Coach to join our Zetland location as part of a rapid growth phase. You’ll learn the Elevated Coach Program, build your personal training business and deliver exceptional client outcomes under a structured coaching system.

You’ll master coaching delivery, business building, gym-floor leadership and admin tasks using Trainerize, while staying aligned with our values and culture. This role offers a clear career pathway in a world-class facility and community.

Qualifications

• Passion for health and fitness; career-focused in coaching.
• Minimum Certificate IV in Fitness and current First Aid/CPR.
• Willingness to obtain Public Liability & Indemnity Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective one-on-one coaching sessions and build client rapport.
• Grow client base to 35+ coaching sessions per week.
• Lead on gym-floor presence and member engagement.
• Maintain accurate client programs and progress notes.

Our Elevated Coach Program is a structured pathway designed to teach you the skills, systems and processes required to build a thriving personal training business, while delivering an exceptional experience to every client you coach.

You’ll learn directly from experienced coaches and leaders, build your first client base, and develop the technical, business and people skills that set our trainers apart.

This isn’t a role for someone looking for a generic personal training job. It’s for someone who wants to build a genuine coaching career, backed by a system, a brand and a community that has spent over a decade refining what it means to be a world-class trainer.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities encompass 6 key areas of success:

Coaching Delivery.

Prepare and deliver effective, engaging one‑on‑one personal training sessions that get results and keep clients coming back.

Build genuine rapport with clients, adjusting programs and communication style to each person’s goals, ability and needs.

Business Building.

Build and maintain a client base in line with program targets, working toward 35+ coaching sessions per week.

Manage your business dashboard, book appointments, and run client consultations and presentations with confidence.

Help clients set short and long‑term goals, and introduce them to personal training packages that build a healthy, sustainable client base.

Member & Gym Floor Experience.

Be a visible, energetic leader on the gym floor, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all members.

Engage with members beyond your own client base, nurturing relationships that strengthen the broader One Playground community.

Give advice on nutrition, health and lifestyle, where appropriate, to support members in reaching their goals.

Administration.

Keep client programs, progress notes and performance reports accurate, secure and up to date.

Manage client accounts to ensure payments and billing are accurate.

Use Trainerize (or equivalent) to track programming and client progress.

Engage in mentoring, weekly development sessions and ongoing education to sharpen your craft.

Stay on top of the latest trends, research and literature in strength training, nutrition and injury prevention.

Complete the online learning and mentoring components of the Elevated Coach Program.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

No prior industry experience required; a passion for the industry is a must.

Minimum Certificate IV in Fitness (or working towards one).

Current First Aid & CPR certification.

Public Liability & Indemnity Insurance (or willingness to obtain).
