Job summary

BlueCare in Ingham offers a Personal Carer Traineeship in community care. You’ll earn while you learn, complete a Certificate III in Individual Support with funded government help, and start making a difference from day one.

As a Trainee, you’ll visit clients at home, assist with daily living, transport, and activities, following an individual care plan. You’ll need a current Australian driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle; you’ll join Australia’s largest aged care network.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum).
• Essential Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work.
• Essential Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients living in the community, supporting independence and improving quality of life.
• Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits and interacting with clients in their homes.
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Provide care in accordance with individualised Care Plan.
• Support with community-based recreational and social activities; transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

About the role

As a Personal Carer Trainee, you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
