Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in the Woody Point area with in-home care and daily living activities. You will visit clients, assist with personal care, meals, housekeeping and transport to appointments, while following individual Care Plans and promoting independence.

Ideal candidates will have Certificate III in Aged Care, a current Australian driver’s licence, a roadworthy vehicle and comfort with technology.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent required.
• Experience with daily living assistance and personal care.
• Ability to work with Care Plans and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care to clients to support independence.
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, meals, housekeeping, laundry.
• Complete scheduled visits and document care per Care Plan.
• Support community-based recreational and social activities.
• Transport and assist with shopping and appointments.

About the role:

As aPersonal Careryou’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential

Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential

Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential

Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc

Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
