Job summary

BlueCare in Stanthorpe and surrounding areas is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in the community, helping maintain independence and quality of life. You will spend your day visiting clients at home, providing daily living support such as showering, cooking and light housekeeping, and assisting with appointments and transport.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent – essential.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) – essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work – essential.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance (showering, hygiene, meals, cleaning).
• Support clients to remain independent and participate in community activities.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments and outings.
• Carry out care plans and document care provided.
• Travel between client homes as part of scheduled visits.

• Remuneration: $36.32p/hr + Casual Loading + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About the role

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities.

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan.

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities.

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role Requirements
