Job summary

BlueCare in Hervey Bay is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in their homes, helping with daily living activities and maintaining independence. You will travel to scheduled visits, assist with personal care, meal prep, and light housework, guided by individual care plans.

This permanent part-time role requires weekend/evening availability and a valid driver’s licence. Remuneration starts at AUD 36.32 per hour plus superannuation, not-for-profit salary packaging, allowances, travel

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent – Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence – Essential
• Roadworthy vehicle for work – Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops
• Ability to pass probity checks required by policy/legislation

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care to clients in their homes
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, meal prep, housekeeping, and laundry
• Support clients to maintain independence and improve quality of life
• Follow individualised Care Plans and assist with community activities
• Travel to scheduled visits and support with shopping and appointments

About the role:

As aPersonal Carer,you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential

Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential

Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential

Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc

Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
