Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in Gayndah and surrounding areas with compassionate, in-home care. You’ll help with daily living activities, meal prep, personal hygiene and light housekeeping, while following a customised care plan.

You will spend much of your time on the road visiting clients, promoting independence and quality of life, in a supportive, not-for-profit environment within Australia’s trusted community care network.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent – essential.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence – essential.
  • Roadworthy and insured vehicle to use for work – essential.
  • Comfort with smartphones, tablets, laptops and related tech.
  • Willingness to satisfy probity checks required by policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance.
  • Spend time on the road visiting clients in their homes and communities.
  • Assist with showering, personal hygiene, meals, housekeeping, laundry and ironing.
  • Support clients with mobility, transport to appointments and community activities.
  • Follow individualised care plans and maintain safe, respectful care.

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life. Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan Supporting with community based recreational and social activities Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments. Role requirements:
  • Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
  • Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
  • Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
