BlueCare, part of the UnitingCare family, seeks a Personal Carer to support clients in Charters Towers and surrounding areas with in-home care and daily living activities.

You will travel between clients, assist with hygiene, meals, cleaning and transportation while upholding each Care Plan to promote independence and wellbeing.

Competenze

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent required.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence required.
• Vehicle must be roadworthy and insured for work.
• Experience with smartphones, tablets and laptops.

Mansioni

• Visit clients in their homes for scheduled visits and daily living support.
• Assist with showering, hygiene, meals, housework, laundry and ironing.
• Follow each client’s Care Plan and safety guidelines.
• Support attendance at community activities and errands.
• Provide transportation for appointments and shopping.

• Remuneration: $36.32 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
