Job summary

BlueCare seeks a Personal Carer to deliver high-quality in-home care across Cairns North and surrounding areas. You will support clients with daily living activities, personal care, meals, housekeeping and transport to appointments, following care plans and ensuring safety.

Permanent part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) with remuneration of $36.32 per hour plus super, salary packaging, allowances and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent qualification (Essential)
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) (Essential)
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle for work (Essential)
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops
• Able to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance
• Support clients to maintain independence and quality of life
• Complete scheduled visits and travel between client homes
• Assist with shopping, appointments and community activities
• Follow individualised care plans and document care provided

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential

• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
