Job summary

Right at Home (Australia) is seeking dedicated Personal Care Workers to join our in-home care team in Newcastle. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to help clients maintain independence and wellbeing in their own homes.

We are particularly seeking afternoon-evening availability. Responsibilities include showering, mobility assistance, companionship, light domestic tasks, medication reminders, and health monitoring.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence with reliable insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including showering, toileting, dressing, grooming and mobility assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with light domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Support clients with medication reminders and general health monitoring.
• Escort clients to appointments, shopping and community activities as required.
• Report changes in client condition to care coordinators or registered nurses.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Follow care plans and ensure safe manual handling practices at all times.

We are particularly looking for some carers who are available in the afternoon-evening.
