Job summary

Right at Home is seeking dedicated Personal Care Workers for afternoon and evening shifts to support clients in their own homes in Australia. You will deliver person-centred care, assist with daily tasks, monitor wellbeing, and accompany clients to appointments and activities.

Ideal candidates hold Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, current First Aid/CPR, a National Police Check, and a valid Australian driver’s licence with a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain).
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
• A genuine passion for caring and helping others.
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or home and community care.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Manual Handling training.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including showering, toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with light domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Support clients with medication reminders and general health monitoring
• Escort clients to appointments, shopping, and community activities as required
• Report changes in client condition to care coordinators or registered nurses
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold privacy and confidentiality standards
• Follow care plans and ensure safe manual handling practices at all times
