Job summary

Right at Home Western NSW is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Worker to help older Australians stay safe at home. You will provide person-centred support and work with a friendly local team across flexible shifts.

Key duties include personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, shopping, social support, and dementia care. Comprehensive induction and ongoing training are provided, with a current First Aid/CPR, police check, and valid Australian work rights required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• National Police Check.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and a reliable insured vehicle.
• Right to work in Australia and English communication.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Personal care including showering, dressing and grooming.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Meal preparation and light household duties.
• Shopping and community access.
• Social support and companionship.
• Dementia support.
• Record accurate case notes and report concerns.

About the Role

No two days are the same. As a Personal Care Worker you'll provide person-centred support that helps our clients remain independent and continue living in the comfort of their own homes.

Preferred Skills

• Six months or more experience in community aged care or disability support
• Experience supporting people living with dementia
• Knowledge of person-centred care practices
