Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to support clients in Whittlesea, Nillumbik and Banyule. In this role you will provide in-home assistance with daily activities and personal care, building meaningful connections with clients in their own homes.

You will complete an orientation, have access to supervision, and opportunities for professional development while earning 36.22 per hour plus superannuation, travel time and mileage.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle required.
• Strong communication skills and patience.
• Proficient with smartphone apps and email.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care including assistance with daily activities and personal care.
• Assist with household tasks, mobility, medication support, and transport to appointments.
• Develop genuine connections with clients to support their quality of life.
• Follow orientation and work with a supervisor and care team.

• About the role

  As a Care Worker supporting clients in Whittlesea, Nillumbik & Banyule and the surrounding areas. you will be part of our Baptistcare at Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

  To support you in your role

  • You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
  • Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
  • Earn $36.22/hr plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
