Job summary

TLC Healthcare is seeking compassionate Personal Care Workers for Melbourne's Altona North and Fitzroy North areas. You will join a team delivering person-centred care to residents, reporting to the Team Leader or RN, and supporting dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, meals, mobility and daily activities, documenting changes, and maintaining a respectful, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Ageing/Individual Support required or equivalent.
• Experience in aged care highly regarded.
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS checks.

Looking for caring Personal Care Workers to provide exception person centered care to our residents.

Location: Altona North and Fitzroy North

Job Type: Casual and Part Time shifts available

About the Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you will work collaboratively with our clinical and care teams to deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents. Reporting to the Team Leader or Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing residents' quality of life through respectful, resident-focused care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, hygiene, grooming and oral care support
• Assist residents with meals, mobility and activities of daily living
• Support lifestyle and leisure activities that promote wellbeing
• Observe, document and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care documentation and records
• Contribute to a safe, caring and positive environment for residents, families and colleagues
• Work in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards, infection control requirements and TLC policies and procedures
• Promote residents' rights, dignity, choice and independence

What You’ll Need:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care
• Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (includes Police Check)
• Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
• Warm and effective communication skills
