Job summary

TLC Healthcare in Donvale is seeking a Lifestyle/ Wellbeing Assistant to help deliver engaging wellbeing programs for residents, promoting social connection, independence and quality of life.

You will assist with planning and delivery of activities, support one‑on‑one engagement, group programs, and maintain documentation, with weekend availability and part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is required.
• Ability to plan and deliver lifestyle and wellbeing activities.
• Understanding of aged care needs and residents’ wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and delivery of engaging lifestyle and wellbeing activities.
• Support residents with one‑on‑one engagement and group programs.
• Assist with resident assessments, care plans, reviews and life story documentation.
• Build relationships with residents, families and team members.
• Support bus outings and safety checks for residents.
• Collaborate with clinical and care teams to support resident wellbeing.
• Maintain documentation and protect privacy and confidentiality.

Are you passionate about enriching the lives of older people? We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Lifestyle / Wellbeing Assistant to join our team in The Heights, Donvale residential aged care homeand help deliver engaging wellbeing programs that promote social connection, independence, and quality of life for our residents.

• Location: Donvale
• Job Type: Part-time – Must be available to work weekends
• Hours: Monday 9.30am -4.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 1.00pm – 4.00pm, Monday and Tuesday 10.00am – 4.00pm
• To be considered for this position, candidates must be able to commit to and work these hours.

About the Role

As aLifestyle/Wellbeing Assistant you will assist in the planning and delivery of lifestyle and wellbeing programs that support residents’ emotional, social, cultural, and cognitive wellbeing. You will help create positive experiences through group activities, individual engagement, community outings, and resident-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging lifestyle and wellbeing activities.
• Support residents with one‑on‑one engagement and group programs.
• Assist with resident assessments, care plans, reviews, and life story documentation.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Support bus outings, including safety checks and resident assistance.
• Work collaboratively with clinical and care teams to support resident wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Promote a person‑centred approach that enhances residents’ quality of life

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle; or
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
• Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• X3 COVID-19 vaccinations
• NDIS Clearance Check
• Must have a current and Valid Driver’s Licence
• Eligibility to work in Australia
