Job summary

Newly By Healthcarelink Support is seeking a compassionate Personal Care/Support Worker to assist clients in their own homes around Mount Druitt, NSW. You will deliver everyday tasks with dignity, promote independence and connect with clients to enhance wellbeing.

You will help with household duties, personal care, meal prep, mobility support, transportation to appointments, and community activities, while ensuring safety and respect at all times.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required to work with NDIS participants.
• A current police check clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be current.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to clients in their own homes.
• Assist with household tasks: cleaning, showering, dressing, meal prep.
• Support continence, medication assistance, and transport to appointments.
• Develop genuine connections to help clients live their best lives.

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in the Mount Druitt NSWand surrounding areas, you will be part providingquality care and support to clients in their own homes.

You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

What do we need from you?

• You will be a fluent speaker in English and in addition to home services, be willing to provide weekly social support in a group community setting.
• You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with Third Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients.
• You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
• You will have aValid NDIS Worker Screening Check: A current NDIS Worker Screening Check is required to ensure the candidate is eligible to work with individuals in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
• You will have avalid police check clearance
• You will haveCurrent Certifications in CPR and First Aid
