Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Dubbo is seeking Personal Care Assistants to join our team. You will provide compassionate personal care, support residents with daily activities, and collaborate with clinical colleagues to ensure care plans are implemented safely.

We offer shifts across mornings, afternoons, and nights, with a focus on maintaining a home-like environment. Preference for those with a Certificate III in Aged Care and willingness to obtain checks and clearances.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent) is required.
• Willingness to apply for Police Check and NDIS clearance.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety practices in care settings.
• Ability to interact with a diverse resident population.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as showering and dressing.
• Support day-to-day tasks like eating and social activities.
• Work with clinical team to ensure care plans are followed.
• Maintain documentation and collaborate with staff to optimise residents’ health.
• Provide high-quality service to families and the community.

We are looking for Personal Care Assistants to join our team at Holy Spirit Dubbo. We offer a variety of shifts including morning, afternoon, and night shifts across the week. As part of a dedicated team who work hard to create a safe, home-like environment you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing


• Supporting day-to-day tasks such as eating and social activities


• Working with clinical team members to ensure care plans are followed


• Maintaining documentation and working as part of a team to ensure our residents’ health and wellbeing are optimised


• Providing high quality service to families and the community

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly


• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people


• Good communication skills


• A reliable team player


• Understanding of workplace health and safety


• A Certificate 3 in Aged Care (or equivalent)


• Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication‑competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies


• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
