Job summary

Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is hiring a Personal Care Assistant / Cleaner for Home Care in Darwin. The role involves travelling to clients' homes to deliver in-home cleaning tasks and support with delegated care activities as per approved care plans.

The position is permanent, full-time with 38 hours per week, and pays between $35.20 and $37.16 per hour depending on skills and experience. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, domestic or commercial.
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting.
• Comfortable delivering cleaning tasks over direct care.
• NT Driver’s license and access to a reliable, fully insured vehicle.

Personal Care Assistant / Cleaner - Home Care, Darwin

About the role

A new opportunity has come available for an experienced Personal Care Assistant (primarily cleaning and unqualified duties) to join our Home Care team in Darwin, Northern Territory.

This role is being recruited on a permanent, full-time basis of 38 hours per week.

This role attracts a salary of Home Care Employee Level 2 - $35.20 - $37.16 / hour (pending skills and experience).

This role will see you travelling to people’s homes and providing in-home cleaning duties, attending to appointments, and general care duties in accordance with their approved care plan. Please note: This role is NOT a Care Worker where a Cert III qualification is required.

This role will also include high-clean duties which include more in-depth cleaning such as window’s, ceiling fans etc.

As the ideal candidate, you will be comfortable travelling to our consumers’ homes to primarily deliver cleaning services and will have a reliable and fully insured vehicle. You must be comfortable to complete allocated cleaning tasks as part of this role.

As the successful candidate, you will be kind and compassionate in your approach to our consumers and be understanding and supportive of their needs whilst, able to interpret and understand their care-plans and stick to the delegated services.

Skills & experience:

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in Cleaning, domestic or commercial.
• Experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting.
• Comfortable to work where delegated tasks are primarily cleaning over delivering of care.
• NT Driver’s license and access to a reliable and fully comprehensive insured vehicle.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.
• Comfortable using mobile phone apps and working remotely.
