Job summary

Australian Regional & Remote Community Services is hiring Personal Care Workers across the Northern Territory, including Katherine. You will provide direct resident care, daily living support and maintain high wellbeing standards.

The role requires Certificate III in Aged Care/Disability, strong communication and the ability to work in a culturally diverse team. ARRCS offers training, leave, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

Job description

We have upcoming opportunities for experienced Personal Care Worker/s to join our team in within the Northern Territory including Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Mutitjulu, Katherine, Docker River, and Nhulunbuy and the APY Lands of South Australia.

Australian Regional & Remote Community Services are seeking qualified and experienced Personal Care Worker/s to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.

These roles attract a salary of $38.33-$39.91 / hour dependent on skills and experience.

Your role as a Personal Care Worker will see you providing direct care and support to our residents within the facility. Duties include however, not limited to cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, showering, and dressing, mobility and assistance with meals.

You will bring previous experience in an aged care or disability support role and will have the skills and experience to complete work with respect and professionalism whilst having supervision from our facilities senior nursing staff when required.

You will provide a strong work ethic whilst being able to ensure that the care and wellbeing of our residents are kept to the highest standards.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, we would require you to demonstrate the following:

• Minimum of Certificate III or higher in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Care – With preference to have the Assist Clients with Medication elective.
• Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in an Aged Care setting.
• Demonstrated effective and clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions relevant to the role.
• Proof of or willingness to obtain the following mandatory requirements:
• NDIS Workers Screening
• National Police Check (dated within 3 months)
• Current year Flu Vaccination
• First Aid and CPR
