Job summary

ARRCS is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to support residents at the Old Timers Aged Care Facility in Alice Springs. You will deliver clinical care and provide mentoring to junior staff to ensure high-quality, people-centered care.

To be considered, you must hold AHPRA RN registration, a Bachelor of Nursing, and Australian working rights. Relocation support up to $5,000 is included as part of the remuneration package for a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse - Old Timers Aged Care, Alice Springs

About the role

ARRCS are currently sourcing qualified and experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to support our elderly residents within our Old Timers Aged Care Facility, located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

This role is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis and are residential roles, requiring you to relocate to Alice Springs, Northern Territory with relocation support of up to $5000 included in your remuneration package.

This role will see you providing clinical care to our residents whilst also providing team leadership, supervision and support for less experienced workers to achieve people focused quality care in‑line with our ARRCS mission and values.

Remuneration and benefits of working with ARRCS:

• Penalty driven hourly rate of an Aged Care Registered Nurse Level 2 - (AM rate) $51.26 / hour - $53.84 / hour ($101,290 - $106,400 PA) gross base.
• Exclusive $50,000 PA bonus structure for your first year (12 months) of continuous employment (conditions apply).
• $25,000 gross (pro‑ra for PT) less tax upon successful completion of probation.
• $25,000 gross (pro‑ra for PT) less tax payable after completion of a further 6 consecutive months service with bonus payments ceasing upon the completion of one (1) year of continuous service.

Skills and experience

To be considered for this role, we are asking all applicants to provide evidence of the following skills and experience:

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
• Working Rights for Australia – This package is not offered on a sponsorship basis.
• A minimum of 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse to qualify for the bonus (in addition to graduate placements) within an Australian health service – With preference within a geriatric or aged care environment however, not essential.
• Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multi‑cultural care team.
• Preferably prior experience working with Indigenous Australian’s and or working in remote areas of Australia.
• Demonstrates effective and clear written and verbal communication skills, including intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to meet and obtain mandatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrates and has references that indicate you are a proactive and supportive colleague, you have strong work ethic and, understands that the ultimate requirement is to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to our elderly residents.
