Catholic Healthcare is seeking Personal Care Assistants for Maranatha Lodge in Batehaven, NSW. Join a not-for-profit employer delivering compassionate aged care with morning, afternoon and night shifts across Monday to Sunday.

Pay rate is $38 per hour plus superannuation, with opportunities across 40+ locations in NSW and QLD. You’ll support residents to live well, build meaningful connections, and work with a collaborative clinical team to follow care plans.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent) required.
• Preference for medication-competency training as part of Certificate III/IV studies.
• Kind heart with genuine passion for high-quality care of older people.
• Warm, respectful approach and confidence interacting with diverse people.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, positive, supportive team attitude.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as showering and dressing.
• Support day-to-day activities including meals, mobility and social activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and understand what matters to them.
• Work with clinical team to ensure care plans are followed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Provide high-quality care and service to residents, their families and the local community.

Responsibilities

As part of a dedicated local team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and home-like environment for our residents.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing
• Supporting day-to-day activities including meals, mobility and social activities
• Building meaningful relationships with residents and getting to know what matters to them
• Working alongside our clinical team to ensure care plans are followed
• Maintaining accurate documentation and working collaboratively to support residents’ health and wellbeing
• Providing high-quality care and service to residents, their families and our local community

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

• A Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication-competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies
• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to older people
• A warm and respectful approach and confidence interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• A reliable, positive and supportive team attitude
• An understanding of workplace health and safety
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
