Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant at Coolamon Villa Mullumbimby. The role involves assisting residents with personal care and daily activities in a warm, home‑like setting within a 50‑bed aged care home.

You will work with a supportive clinical team, deliver personalised care plans and maintain documentation. Eligible candidates hold Certificate III in Aged Care and may have medication‑competency training; police and NDIS clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent).
• Medication‑competency training preferred.
• Willingness to complete Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including showering, grooming and dressing.
• Support residents with daily tasks, meals and meaningful social activities.
• Work closely with the clinical team to deliver personalised care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support resident health and wellbeing.
• Provide exceptional service to residents, families, and the broader community.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll help create a safe, connected, home‑like environment where residents feel respected, supported, and valued. You will:

• Assist with personal care, including showering, grooming and dressing
• Support residents with daily tasks, meals and meaningful social activities
• Work closely with the clinical team to deliver personalised care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation to support resident health and wellbeing
• Provide exceptional service to residents, families, and the broader community

What You Bring

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)

Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication‑competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies

• A warm, compassionate approach and genuine passion for supporting older people
• Confidence engaging with a diverse range of people
• Strong communication skills and a reliable team mindset
• Understanding of safe work practices
• Willingness to complete a Police Check and NDIS Clearance
