Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with intellectual disability.

• Willing to work across Ryde and Merrylands.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support based on individual needs and goals.
• Support participants with daily living activities and routines.
• Assist with community access, appointments, shopping and social activities.
• Provide personal care where required.
• Support participants to develop and maintain independence and life skills.
• Follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies where applicable.
• Complete accurate shift notes and relevant documentation.
• Maintain professional boundaries and communicate effectively with participants, families and the wider support team.
