Job summary

Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking a labourer to join the Merriwa Parks & Facilities team. The role focuses on maintaining parks, open spaces and facilities to ensure safe, attractive community spaces.

The position supports a 9-day fortnight with a 38-hour week, training opportunities, and potential overtime. Applicants with labouring experience in civil construction are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• A valid Class C driver’s licence is required.
• A current White Card is required or willingness to obtain one.
• MR licence and traffic control tickets are desirable.

Responsibilities

• General parks and facilities maintenance activities.
• Plant and equipment maintenance and operation.
• Weed, pest and disease control.
• Tree planting, maintenance and landscaping activities.
• Operate and maintain watering systems with the team to deliver visible outcomes.
