Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. seeks a Service Technician based in Darwin, NT. You will work with installers, electricians, adjusters, field engineers, and coordinators to service and maintain lifts and escalators.

A permanent role reporting to the Branch Manager is offered. Requirements include electrical/fitter qualifications with 2–5 years in the lift industry, a valid driver’s license and electrical license, and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Strong English language skills, both verbal and written.
• Electrical and/or Fitter qualifications relevant to the role.
• Lift apprenticeship or other industry-accredited training program (desirable).
• Hold a valid driver's license and Electrical license.
• Experience in the lift industry (2–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Performs service and maintenance work in accordance with procedures and manuals.
• Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement for customers.
• Provide electrical and mechanical training to apprentices and subcontractors.
• Attend lift/escalator breakdowns, perform repairs and control modifications.
• Perform upgrades and repairs per relevant codes and agreements.
• Liaise with customers and submit leads using Otis applications.
• Standby and after-call-back coverage as needed.
