Job summary

Otis is seeking a Lift Installation Mechanic to be based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The role involves installing lifts, escalators and travellators in compliance with Otis specifications and relevant codes.

It is a 12-month fixed-term position reporting to the Project Manager, with classification-based hourly rates under the local EBA. You will work on-site delivering installation and modernization projects, ensuring safety, quality and timely inspections, while coordinating with

Qualifications

Experience in adjustment/commissioning is beneficial.
Hold full working rights in Australia and a valid driver’s licence.
Relevant lift industry experience and ability to work safely in a team or independently.
Willingness to travel in and out of the region and work unsupervised.
Good communication with stakeholders and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Install new equipment and modernise lifts, complying with safety and environmental standards.
Ensure timely completion of defects identified during service or handover inspections.
Maintain tools, equipment and materials and safeguard property.
Work in accordance with lift industry codes and Otis standards.
Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety policies and report conditions affecting environment or staff.
Maintain and improve the Quality System.
Attend customer handover inspections on installation and modernization projects.
Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement for customers.
