Job summary

Nifty-Lift is seeking hands-on Mechanical Assemblers to join our Melbourne-based production team building Elevating Work Platforms, vehicle bodies and hydraulic assemblies.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble components to high quality standards and work with a supportive team in a modern workshop; some overtime may be required. Ongoing training and apprenticeship pathways are available as part of our commitment to developing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly or related trades is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assembling EWPs, vehicle trays, hydraulic systems and accessories.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Completing mechanical assembly tasks to high quality standards.
• Safely operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment (when trained).
• Collaborating with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Following health and safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
