Job summary

AWF Limited in New South Wales is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. The role is hands-on, requiring practical skills and a safety-first approach.

Full training is provided for the right person, whether you have prior assembly experience or are keen to learn on the job. You’ll work with engineers and fabricators to assemble components from drawings, perform adjustments, and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and equipment according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Install and fit hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on towing and recovery equipment
• Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
• Perform mechanical adjustments, alignments, and torque settings to ensure correct operation
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment while following health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with engineers, welders, fabricators, and other production team members to meet production deadlines
• Record assembly and quality control information as required
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality
