Canterbury Hospital in Sydney is seeking an Operational Assistant to support the Perioperative Department. You will perform porterage, linen supplies, cleaning tasks and assist with intraoperative patient transfers and positioning to support safe outcomes.

This permanent full‑time role (38 hours per week) offers a salary of $67,097–$68,847 per annum plus superannuation and the opportunity to contribute to high quality, patient‑centred care within NSW Health.

Qualifications

• Effective organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Experience or willingness to learn intraoperative theatre duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide porterage, theatre linen supplies and cleaning services.
• Support intraoperative theatre duties including patient transfers.
• Position patients on the operating table as required.
