Job summary

Nepean Hospital within NBMLHD is seeking Registered Nurses for perioperative services. You will support the perioperative journey from pre-op to PACU, delivering evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient safety, learning, and culturally safe care while pursuing ongoing professional development within NBMLHD.

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a Nurse with AHPRA.
• Experience in perioperative nursing preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Commitment to professional development and patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care across the perioperative pathway.
• Support preoperative preparation, intraoperative care and postoperative recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety and high-quality care.
• Demonstrate infection prevention and control principles in all perioperative activities.
• Prioritise and organise workflow in a fast-paced surgical environment.
