Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking reliable Operations Assistants to join the Recovery Unit at Northern Beaches Hospital. This permanent, full-time role provides essential non-clinical support to ensure safe, efficient operating suites and high-quality patient care.

You will coordinate equipment, stock and supplies, collaborate with nursing, sterile services and multidisciplinary teams, and participate in a rotating roster including weekends.

Qualifications

• Non-clinical support to facilitate safe perioperative operations.
• Coordinate movement of equipment, instruments, stock and supplies.
• Able to work a 24-hour perioperative roster, including weekends.
• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background is encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate movement of equipment, instruments, stock and supplies to support surgical and recovery activities.
• Assist with theatre and recovery area set-up and turnover.
• Transport equipment and supplies and maintain stock levels.
• Support workflow between departments and ensure infection prevention, workplace health and safety and quality standards.
• Work as part of a 24-hour perioperative service on a rotating roster and across weekends.
