Job summary

Canterbury Hospital is seeking an Operations Assistant to support perioperative services, including porterage, theatre linen and cleaning. Intraoperative duties involve transfers and positioning of patients for the operating theatre.

The role requires roster flexibility with afternoon/evening shifts across 7 days, including night duties. Permanent part-time (20 hours per week) with hourly remuneration and benefits under NSW Health.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in intraoperative theatre duties including transfer of patients onto the operating table and positioning of patients.
• Ability to work a roster with afternoon and evening cover, 7 days a week, including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support Perioperative Department activities (porterage, theatre linen, cleaning).
• Assist with intraoperative theatre duties including patient transfers and positioning.
