Canterbury Hospital is seeking an Operations Assistant to support perioperative services, including porterage, theatre linen and cleaning. Intraoperative duties involve transfers and positioning of patients for the operating theatre.

The role requires roster flexibility with afternoon/evening shifts across 7 days, including night duties. Permanent part-time (20 hours per week) with hourly remuneration and benefits under NSW Health.

Qualifications

The Operations Assistant provides support services to the activities in the Perioperative Department by the performance of any or all of the tasks assigned to this position and contributing to the achievement of safe patient outcomes.Engaged in the provision of porterage, theatre linen supplies, cleaning services.

Intraoperative theatre duties including transfers of patients onto the operating table and positioning of patients.

• Previous experience in intraoperative theatre duties including transfer of patients onto the operating table and positioning of patients or willingness to learn.
• Ability to commit to a roster providing afternoon and evening cover 7 days a week, including night shift
