Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the perioperative team as an Instrument-Circulating Theatre Nurse. The role encompasses safe, evidence-based nursing care during the intraoperative journey within a dynamic multi-surgical service.

You will work as both scrubbed and circulating team member, ensuring sterile field integrity, aseptic technique, and adherence to NMBA professional standards and ACORN guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
• Desirable: Post Graduate Qualification in perioperative nursing.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe, quality, evidence-based nursing care during intraoperative phase.
• Participate as a scrubbed team member to handle instruments and maintain aseptic technique.
• Participate as a circulating member to maintain sterile field and assist instrument nurse.
• Practice to NMBA standards and ACORN perioperative standards.
• Contribute to a learning environment and professional development.
