Job summary

Healthscope's Nepean Private Hospital in Penrith is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to coordinate nursing care within the perioperative team. The CNS will provide supervision, direction and guidance to ensure safe practice, quality care and strong clinical leadership across our operating theatres.

You will collaborate with the perioperative management team, support ongoing professional development, comply with AHPRA standards, and contribute to interdisciplinary care across neuro, ENT,

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Perioperative RN in Neuro/ENT, Anaesthetics and General/Gyne.
• Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centred care.
• Collaborate with the perioperative management team to provide strategic leadership and supervision.
• Demonstrate professional practice according to AHPRA standards and Healthscope policies.
• Foster learning through clinical presentations and supervise peers, ENs, graduates and students.
• Act as a valued team member to provide exceptional patient care within the inter-disciplinary team.
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure high-quality care across the health system.
