Healthscope is seeking an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead the Perioperative Services team at John Fawkner Private Hospital in Melbourne. The role combines operational oversight with hands-on clinical leadership to drive safe, high‑quality surgical care.

You’ll coordinate theatre activities, supervise nursing staff, and mentor team members while advancing NSQHS standards and accreditation activities.

Formación

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Recent experience within Perioperative Services
• Demonstrated experience in Scrub/Scout
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and service excellence
• Ability to mentor, develop and support team members
• Minimum 5 years of scrub/ Scout nursing experience
• Well-developed leadership and interpersonal skills
• Coordination of clinical activities and prioritization
• Understanding of NSQHS Standards and perioperative practice
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Postgraduate perioperative qualification
• Experience in accreditation activities
• Workforce planning and rostering knowledge

Responsabilidades

• Provide operational and clinical leadership across perioperative, supporting safe, high-quality care
• Coordinate daily operating theatre activities and workflows
• Provide nursing staff supervision and mentorship
• Model evidence-based practice and patient-centred care
• Support staffing, resource allocation and efficiency
• Contribute to performance development, coaching and staff engagement
• Contribute to quality improvement, accreditation and patient safety initiatives
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork and accountability
