ISS Defence Living & Working Services is seeking a hands-on Periodical Cleaning Team Lead to guide specialist cleaning across Defence facilities in Perth. You will lead a team, plan periodical programs and coordinate equipment and resources to meet ISS and Defence standards.

Reporting to the Cleaning & Accommodation Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient cleaning delivery, mentor staff, maintain records and build strong customer relations in a Defence environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a cleaning supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience planning and coordinating periodical cleaning activities.
• Strong understanding of specialist cleaning processes and methodologies.
• Experience operating specialised cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, pressure cleaning, window cleaning systems and other machinery.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and team development.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Current National Police Clearance and Defence Baseline Security Clearance eligibility.
• Defence/government or secure-site experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a team of periodical cleaning professionals.
• Plan, schedule and execute periodical cleaning programs across Defence facilities.
• Coordinate specialist cleaning activities (carpet extraction, floor maintenance, pressure washing, high-detail cleaning).
• Ensure cleaning delivery meets contract standards and safety.
• Conduct quality inspections and audits.
• Train and mentor team in cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
• Manage customer enquiries and service requests professionally.
• Maintain equipment, chemicals and consumables inventory.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reporting.
