Job summary

IUIH is hiring a Mental Health Clinician – Perinatal and Parenting to develop, implement and support early intervention and parenting services within Indigenous communities. The role works with pregnant women and families, providing person-centered mental health case management and trauma-informed care within a multidisciplinary team.

The position emphasizes SEWB planning and seamless linkage to other supports, ensuring culturally safe care across the care continuum in Queensland.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree qualification.
• Current AHPRA Registration for clinicians.
• Current Working with Children’s Check or equivalent where relevant.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support specialist early intervention, parenting and related services for families.
• Work with pregnant women, parents and caregivers to enhance relationships with their child.
• Provide person-centered mental health case management to support resilience and cultural connections.
• Using the IUIH mob-centered framework, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support trauma-affected women and families.
• Develop and support SEWB plans for women and families with complex mental health and social emotional wellbeing challenges.
• Support continuity of care through integration with other services and external providers as required.
