AMES Australia is seeking a Performance and System Lead to provide functional leadership for student management, attendance and related systems. You will optimise data governance, deliver robust performance reporting and enable analytics and automation to support decision-making.

The role requires managing change, training staff, and coordinating with IT, vendors and government systems to ensure reliable integration and adoption.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Management and Analytics or Education Management.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing Student Management Systems (preferably aXcelerate).
• Alternatively, minimum 5 years’ experience with student management systems and compliance reporting.

About the role:

The purpose of the Performance and System Leadis to provide functional leadership for student management,attendance and related systems to ensure high‑quality, compliantdata that supports organisational performance, funding integrityand decision‑making. It is responsible for optimising systems,strengthening data governance, and delivering effective performancereporting, analytics and automation. In addition, theposition supports operational teams through clear systemgovernance, procedures, training and change management, and acts asthe key liaison with AMES IT Team, vendors and government systems to ensure reliable integration and adoption.

To be considered for this role, you will be able todemonstrate the following key selection criteria:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Information Systems, DataAnalytics, Business Management and
• Analytics or Education Management; AND
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing Student ManagementSystems (preferably aXcelerate), data governance, qualityassurance and compliance reporting

OR

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Student ManagementSystems (preferably aXcelerate), data governance, qualityassurance and compliance reporting
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian VET sector,including RTO compliance obligations, AVETMISS and governmentreporting requirements
• Solid understanding of student management and studentattendance processes and a proven ability to develop, establishand manage systems to support student enrolments andattendance, performance reporting and claiming
• Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills, withability to analyse processes clearly and identify and implementprocess improvements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, includingexcellent report writing skills and the ability to workcollaboratively with others to identify, analyse and implementeffective system and process improvements and to influencesuccessful outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, training,coaching and guidance to employees and managers on newprocesses and systems
• Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement andmanagement skills
• Demonstrated success in implementing and managing change,motivating employees through the change process, and deliveringconsistent process improvements and planned outcomes
• Strong project management and organisational skills withthe ability to manage multiple priorities anddeadlines
