Job summary

Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking a Team Leader for People Strategy & Business Partnering. You will lead a strategic HR function, providing expert advice to managers and guiding workforce planning, recruitment, and policy development.

The role reports to the Manager People & Culture and supports organisational capability and positive workforce outcomes. Key duties include developing HR strategies, managing employee relations and investigations, and leading HR projects with strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, psychology or business or equivalent.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing HR strategies, policies and frameworks.
• Broad generalist HR experience across planning, recruitment, ER, job evaluation and performance management.
• Knowledge of employment and industrial legislation and applicable instruments.
• Proven ability to provide strategic HR advice to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-quality HR services and provide strategic advice to managers and employees.
• Develop, review and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Provide advice on employee relations, investigations, grievances and disputes.
• Lead workforce planning and contribute to workforce management strategy.
• Oversee recruitment, job evaluation and performance management.
• Interpret employment legislation and ensure compliance.
• Support union and employer association negotiations.
• Analyse workforce data and report on HR systems and processes.
• Lead HR projects with stakeholder engagement and timely delivery.
