Evolution Mining is seeking a People & Performance Partner to join the People & Culture team in Sydney. The role partners with leaders to solve complex people challenges, provide practical advice, and support performance management, workforce planning, talent management, and remuneration & benefits.

You will build trusted advisory relationships, influence decisions, and balance business needs with compliant people practices in a dynamic mining environment.

We now seek to appoint a People & Performance Partner to join our People & Culture team in Sydney.

About the role

As our preferred candidate, you are someone who enjoys working alongside leaders to solve complex people challenges, influence decision-making and help build high-performing teams.

This is a true partnering role. You’ll be trusted to provide practical advice, challenge thinking when required, and support leaders across a broad range of people matters including performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, and remuneration & benefits.

About you

This role will suit someone who enjoys being a trusted business partner, building strong relationships, influencing outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to leaders. You build strong relationships quickly, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and balance commercial outcomes with sound people practices.

We’re particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability
• Experience providing advice on performance management, complex employee matters and employment legislation
• A consultative approach and the ability to balance business needs with people and compliance considerations
• Experience developing and implementing people and culture cyclical programs and initiaitives
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility across all levels of an organisation
• Experience in remuneration and benefits, including role benchmarking and market analysis
• Adaptability, resilience and a practical problem‑solving mindset
• Experience using data and reporting to identify trends and inform decision‑making
• The confidence to respectfully challenge leaders and influence decisions

You’ll ideally bring experience from a HR Advisory, People & Culture Business Partner environment where you’ve supported leaders through a broad range of people matters.

Whilst not essential, we’d be keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Exposure to remuneration and benefits, including salary benchmarking, remuneration reviews or market analysis
• Experience working within mining or other industrial, operational or heavily regulated environments
• Exposure to workforce planning and people analytics
• Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements and applying employment legislation.
