Job summary

Evolution Mining seeks a People & Performance Partner to join our People & Culture team in Sydney or Brisbane. You will work closely with leaders to solve complex people challenges, influence decision-making and help build high-performing teams.

As a true partnering role, you will provide practical advice, challenge thinking when required, and support leaders across performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, talent management and remuneration & benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Advisor or People & Culture Business Partner environment.
• Experience providing advice on performance management and employee relations.
• Experience in remuneration & benefits, including benchmarking and market analysis.
• Ability to build relationships, influence outcomes and advise leaders.

We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves.

We now seek to appoint a People & Performance Partner to join our People & Culture team in Sydney or Brisbane.

About the role

As our preferred candidate, you are someone who enjoys working alongside leaders to solve complex people challenges, influence decision-making and help build high-performing teams.

This is a true partnering role. You'll be trusted to provide practical advice, challenge thinking when required, and support leaders across a broad range of people matters including performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, and remuneration & benefits.

About you

This role will suit someone who enjoys being a trusted business partner, building strong relationships, influencing outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to leaders. You build strong relationships quickly, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and balance commercial outcomes with sound people practices.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability
• Experience providing advice on performance management, complex employee matters and employment legislation
• A consultative approach and the ability to balance business needs with people and compliance considerations
• Experience developing and implementing people and culture cyclical programs and initiaitives
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility across all levels of an organisation
• Experience in remuneration and benefits, including role benchmarking and market analysis
• Adaptability, resilience and a practical problem-solving mindset
• Experience using data and reporting to identify trends and inform decision-making
• The confidence to respectfully challenge leaders and influence decisions

You’ll ideally bring experience from a HR Advisory, People & Culture Business Partner environment where you've supported leaders through a broad range of people matters.

Whilst not essential, we'd be keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Exposure to remuneration and benefits, including salary benchmarking, remuneration reviews or market analysis
• Experience working within mining or other industrial, operational or heavily regulated environments
• Exposure to workforce planning and people analytics
• Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements and applying employment legislation.
