Job summary

Tandem Partners Pty Ltd. seeks an experienced HR Business Partner or Employee Relations professional to provide timely, practical guidance to leaders across Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced HR Business Partner, HR generalist or employee relations professional with strong knowledge of workplace relations legislation, awards and HR policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to translate complex requirements into practical, commercially sound advice.
• Experience supporting a dispersed operational workforce is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coach leaders through performance management and complex people matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations and resolve grievances.
• Provide advice on legislation, awards and Enterprise Agreements across Australia and New Zealand.
• Support employment contract variations, casual conversion matters and flexible work requests.
• Contribute to policy development, processes and systems improvement within the People and Culture function.
• Develop leadership education resources and support internal reporting and broader People and Culture initiatives.

About the Role:

This is a hands on advisory opportunity for an experienced HR or employee relations professional to provide timely, practical and accurate guidance to leaders across operational and functional areas.

You will coach leaders through performance management and complex people matters, conduct workplace investigations, resolve grievances and provide advice on legislation, awards and Enterprise Agreements across Australia and New Zealand. You will also support employment contract variations, casual conversion matters and flexible work requests.

Beyond day to day case management, you will contribute to the continued development of the broader people relations function. This includes improving policies, processes, systems and tools, developing leadership education resources and supporting internal reporting and wider People and Culture initiatives.

About You:

You are an experienced HR Business Partner, HR generalist or employee relations professional with strong knowledge of workplace relations legislation, awards, agreements and HR policy.

You are confident coaching leaders remotely and can translate complex employment requirements into practical, commercially considered advice. Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, and you bring sound consultation, negotiation and stakeholder engagement capability.

You will be approachable, proactive and comfortable influencing decisions while balancing compliance, organisational culture and positive employee outcomes. Experience supporting a dispersed operational workforce will be highly regarded.
