Job summary

UnitingSA in Adelaide is seeking a People Experience Graduate to support recruitment, Injury Management, WHS, and Employee Relations, while gaining exposure to HR disciplines. You will contribute to operational and proactive people activities and back-up front-of-house administration to ensure a positive experience for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across People Experience, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Learning & Development and WHS functions.
  • Assist with onboarding, employee documentation and workforce administration.
  • Support maintenance of employee records and HR systems.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, presentations and HR communications.
  • Support people programs and initiatives, including engagement and wellbeing activities.
  • Back-up Reception and front-of-house administration to ensure a positive experience.
  • Provide back-up support to reception by: handling calls, visitors and clients.
  • Provide information to clients, service providers and members of the public as required.

Role Overview:

This role provides administrative and coordination supportacross key people functions, including employee lifecycleactivities, learning and development, workforce administration,compliance, and people initiatives.


As the new People Experience Graduate you will be provided theopportunity to gain direct exposure to a broad range of humanresource disciplines while contributing to operational andproactive people activities. The role also serves as a back-up toReception and supports front-of-house administration to ensure apositive experience for employees, clients, visitors, andstakeholders.

What You’ll do:


  • Provide administrative support across People Experience,Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Learning & Development and WHSfunctions.

  • Assist with onboarding, employee documentation andworkforce administration.

  • Support the maintenance of employee records and HRsystems.

  • Assist with preparing reports, correspondence,presentations and HR communications.

  • Support people programs and initiatives, including employeeengagement, recognition and wellbeing activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects andpeople-related initiatives.

  • Provide back-up support to reception by:

  • Providing prompt, courteous attention to telephonecallers, visitors and clients.

  • Providing appropriate responses and information toclients, service providers and members of the public asrequired.

  • Providing an interface with, and support to consumers,staff and contractors.

  • Collaborating and cooperating with colleagues to ensureefficient and effective completion of tasks.

  • Monitor logbook and issue visitor badges.

  • Assist with and refer enquiries to appropriate personnel asrequired.

  • Complete allocated tasks with accuracy, in an efficient,effective, and timely manner.


What you Bring:


  • Experience working in a professional environment isadvantageous but not essential Previous systems experienceand/or the ability and motivation to learn and adapt to avariety of systems.

  • Demonstrated interest in Human Resources and people-relatedpractices.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Personable phone etiquette, with understanding for clientsconcerns and questions.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel,Outlook, and Access.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills withthe ability to communicate with internal and external customersin a positive and co-operative manner.

  • Ability to organise, multitask, prioritise and work underpressure.

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing withissues that may arise.

  • Ability to draft simple correspondence of a non-specialistnature.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidentialmanner.
