Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland, Victoria, is seeking a People & Culture Manager to lead the HR function across a large regional hospital. The successful candidate will partner with senior leaders to deliver workforce strategies, employee relations support and people initiatives that enable an engaged, high‑performing workforce.

The role requires extensive senior HR experience, strong industrial and employee relations skills, and a track record in change and leadership development.

Latrobe Regional Health is looking for People & Culture Manager to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

• FTE Salary $140,750.48 per annum (pro-rata) + 12% Superannuation
• Salary packaging of up to $11,650 per annum
• 5 weeks annual leave

The People & Culture Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across all human resources functions. Leading a team of People & Culture professionals, the role partners with leaders across the organisation to deliver workforce strategies, employee relations support and people initiatives that enable the achievement of organisational objectives through an engaged, capable and high ‑ performing workforce.

This position plays a key role in workforce planning, industrial relations, organisational development, leadership capability and performance management, while ensuring People & Culture services are aligned with organisational priorities and contemporary human resource practices.

The role of the People & Culture Manager is to:

• Lead and manage the People & Culture function, providing strategic direction, operational oversight and leadership to the People & Culture team.
• Partner with executives and leaders across the organisation to provide expert advice and support on workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development and people management matters.
• Lead industrial and employee relations activities, including enterprise agreement interpretation, union engagement and management of complex workforce matters.
• Develop and implement workforce capability initiatives, including succession planning, talent management, leadership development and performance management programs.
• Oversee People & Culture projects, policies, compliance frameworks and risk management activities to support organisational effectiveness and minimise workforce risk.
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting and stakeholder engagement, supporting organisational change, workforce sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business or a related discipline.
• Extensive senior ‑ level experience leading human resources teams and delivering strategic and operational workforce outcomes.
• Strong expertise in industrial relations, employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and leadership development.
• Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change, influencing stakeholders and providing high ‑ level coaching and advice to leaders.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, people leadership and problem ‑ solving skills, combined with sound financial and workforce management capability.
• Experience leading large ‑ scale organisational change, advanced workforce strategy development and extensive knowledge of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
