Job description

Partner with leaders. Build capability. Shape culture. Make an impact.

We're looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join ARB's People, Culture & Safety team.

This is a hands-on partnering role for someone who enjoys being close to the business. You'll work with leaders across our operational environment, providing commercially focused people advice, building leadership capability and helping teams deliver strong and sustainable business outcomes.

You'll balance strategic thinking with practical execution, working across employee relations, workforce planning, performance, talent, organisational change, engagement and culture.

What you'll be doing

As a trusted partner to leaders, you'll:

  • Build strong relationships with leaders and provide practical, commercially focused people advice.

  • Coach and challenge leaders to strengthen leadership capability, accountability and team performance.

  • Manage complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, performance, conduct, grievances and workplace change.

  • Support workforce planning, organisational design and capability planning.

  • Lead performance, talent, succession and remuneration processes for your business group.

  • Use people insights and workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Partner with leaders to improve engagement, retention and the employee experience.

  • Support recruitment and onboarding for leadership and critical roles.

  • Guide leaders through organisational change.

  • Partner with our HSE team on workplace wellbeing and risk management.

  • Contribute to People & Culture initiatives that continuously improve how we support our people.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced P&C practitioner who can build credibility quickly, and comfortably move between strategic conversations and complex operational matters.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in a P&C Business Partner or senior generalist role.

  • Strong employee and industrial relations capability.

  • Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and enterprise agreements.

  • Experience managing complex employee matters and workplace investigations.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders at different levels.

  • Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to constructively challenge.

  • Experience using workforce data to identify issues and inform decisions.

  • Strong change management, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.

  • Experience working with both blue collar and white collar workforces that are geographically dispersed.

What will make you successful

You'll be someone who builds trust through sound judgement, integrity and follow-through.

You'll know when to coach, when to challenge and when to escal[e].

Most importantly, you'll understand that great business partnering isn't about taking people management away from leaders. It's about building leaders' capability and confidence to lead their people well.

Why ARB?

At ARB, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with leaders across a diverse and operationally complex Australian business, making a tangible impact on leadership, culture and the employee experience.

We're not just a brand; we're a lifestyle. Our passion for off-road adventures drives us to innovate and create products that enhance the customer journey. As an ASX top 200 company with +2200 employees globally, we take pride in our commitment to excellence.

You'll join a collaborative People, Culture & Safety team where you can influence, challenge thinking and contribute to how our people practices evolve as the business continues to grow.

If you're a commercially minded P&C professional who enjoys being close to the business and wants to make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
